Among the traits required to become a member of the Knights of Columbus is the virtue of patriotism. So it is very appropriate that Knights of Columbus Council #9923 announces a 30-day program with EXPRESS CAR WASH located at I-575 and Bells Ferry Rd (Exit 4) to raise funds for the survivors of those Guard members who have lost their lives in the course of battle in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

Through the generosity of the owner of EXPRESS CAR WASH, Jeff Nottingham,

Council #9923. has been able to make the following arrangement to benefit the families of those who made the SUPREME SACRIFICE while on duty with the Georgia National Guard:

Beginning Saturday, October 24, and lasting through November 21, any patron of the Express Car Wash who purchases the deluxe $9.99 car wash, then punches the code”9923” into the car wash order console, automatically has donated $4.00 to the fund. This scenario may be repeated an unlimited number of times during the next 28 days through November 21.

To serve as a reminder to those who wish to participate in this program, the Knights are providing an information sheet that lists all of the features and rules of this program.

To kick off the 4-week program on Saturday, October 24, Council #9923 is preparing ancillary event with attractions such as:

• A climbing wall supplied by the Georgia National Guard
• Inflatable’s for the kids
• An appearance by the folks who prepare the famous Ben & Betsy’s Philly Cheese Steaks
• Special coupon offers from other retailers in the immediate area of the car wash.for those who purchase the $9.99 deluxe car wash and punch in 9923.
