After a long wait, the ultrasound machines are beginning to be placed. In recognition of the overwhelming generosity of our parish community, Council 9923 was honored as the lead council in a video about the Operation Ultrasound initiative.
Click on the "Chance to Change A Life" banner on the right hand side of the home page and then see the note about the video. Click on it and watch the story unfold.
We have much to be proud of with this effort Brother Knights and our Worthy GK represents us well as he tells the story of our efforts. |

In an emotional letter on behalf of Pope Benedict XVI to the Knights of Columbus, the Pontiff said that the best response to the attacks against the Church is a greater fidelity to Christ.
The Pope also used the fraternal organization as an example of loyalty to the Catholic Church.

As I stood here one year ago, I spoke of the need to reach higher goals and to raise the bar of accomplishment because great achievements are never born from low expectations. At the end of this fraternal year we can look back and be proud that we did what we set out to do.

Exhibit Details Charity Group's 90 Years in Eternal City
ROME, JUNE 11, 2010 (Zenit.org).- The Capitoline Museum overlooking the Roman Forum is known for housing a magnificent collection of Roman art and artifacts. Since Wednesday, however, a very different exhibit is interspersed among the museum's ancient columns and medieval art -- one that details the relationship between the city and a U.S.-based organization.

A few months ago one of my Brother Knights asked if I would send out a note to the members of Council 9923 and ask them to pray for him because his MS was particularly bad at the time. One of our brothers replied to me and mentioned that we could do a little more for him and the millions of others suffering from Multiple Sclerosis through the National MS Society by joining in the MS Bike-athon.

Gentlemen;
The manner in which the Knights of Columbus brings men into the order or advances them within the organization is through our degree ceremonies. This is a great opportunity to become a member of the K of C and/or advance to the 2nd degree.
There will be a 1st degree at 9:00AM and a 2nd degree at 11:00AM at St. Michael the Archangel in Woodstock this Saturday, May 22nd.

Have things changed in your life? From a financial standpoint, I mean. Mentally, we all have to be just a bit more on edge than we were before all the craziness. We were rolling along pretty well there for a while until the wheels started to come off. I’m not sure that it’s something we can recover from, mentally, any time soon. An economist sum it up this way: what was isn’t, and what wasn’t is. True. Lots of things changed — except permanent life insurance from the Knights of Columbus. Premiums are still the same, still pays dividends, and the value goes up and up and up.
