Not only did we vote on resolutions put before the assembled delegates and elect the leaders of State Council for the next fraternal year , we were there to gain support for our ‘Ride to Inspire’ from other councils who may have members who would like to start cycling teams and ride to support Camp Inspire and Special Olympics. We also had the pleasure of meeting with Former State Deputy and head of Columbian Charities of Georgia, Tom Gissy . We discussed having ‘Ride to Inspire’ accepted as a CCG sponsored event which will allow us to gain corporate sponsorship because CCG has 501 – 3c status and most corporations won’t entertain sponsorships applications without it. We also met with Paul Fravele who heads up the Ga KofC ‘s efforts to support Special Olympics and Camp Inspire. He is willing to assist us in any way he can and is very excited about the bike event. Momentum is building and October 29th will be a great day for us and the State Council of Ga . Here are your newly elected State Officers
I also would like to Congratulate State Deputy Jim St John for two successful years and I thank him for his exemplary leadership. I feel that I owe much of my ability as GK to following his example. Soon we will be electing our own officers for the next fraternal year and I hope that you will all come to our next meeting to have a hand in shaping the future of KofC9923. Thanks Tom Schuler |
